LEWCO Employee Spotlight: Meet Alisha, Industrial Oven Controls Engineer

So, we thought what better way to show our customers about what life is like inside of LEWCO than to have our own employees share their stories? Read on to meet controls engineer, Alisha Fannin.
ALISHA FANNIN, INDUSTRIAL OVEN CONTROLS ENGINEER
Alisha joined LEWCO in March of 2012 after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Computer Technology from Bowling Green State University. In addition to her bachelor’s degree, Alisha also holds an associate’s degree in both Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Alisha’s most recent accomplishments include her green belt certification in Six Sigma from Bowling Green State University.
Alisha’s Responsibilities:
Alisha’s main responsibilities include developing and redesigning electrical control systems for new and existing industrial oven products, writing PLC, HMI, PC and other control programs, and creating control schematics and control panel layout drawings using AutoCAD Electrical software.
What inspired you to pursue a career in the engineering field?
Because engineers are awesome! As a kid, I liked to tear stuff a part and see how it worked. Today I love designing something and see it come together as a functioning piece of equipment. Seeing something go from paper to reality gives me a sense of accomplishment and it’s pretty cool.
If LEWCO were a TV Show, which character – from any sitcom, drama or reality show (of any time period) – would represent you?
I would definitely be Lucy from “I Love Lucy” because she is so fun and ornery!
What kinds of hobbies and interest do you have outside of work?
Outside of work I love to go four-wheeling, camping, reading, hiking, canoeing – pretty much anything outdoors! I love to be active and have fun!!
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
My kids and my dog!
