Custom Curing Cell

LEWCO, Inc. recently delivered a custom curing cell to a custom part manufacturer. The cell includes two dual strand chain conveyor ovens as well as material handling equipment that includes chain driven line rollers (CDLR) and pop up transfers. A single lane oven with accumulation pre-heats the parts and keeps them warm until the operator is ready for the filling process.  With the push of a foot pedal, a single mold exits the oven.  When the part is filled a second press of the pedal sends the part to a dual lane cure oven.  Once cured a second operator foot pedal is pressed to release the cured part from the oven.  Controls included an Operator Interface Touchscreen (OIT) with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to allow the customer to easily control all oven operations from one convenient interface.
