LEWCO Conveyor Oven for Coated Electrodes
SANDUSKY, OH – LEWCO, Inc. recently shipped a custom conveyor oven to a domestic equipment integrator. The oven will be used to cure coated electrodes as part of a large processing line.
Insulated vestibules with adjustable silhouette openings are used on each end of the heated zone to meet the temperature uniformity requirement of +/-10°F. The construction of the oven interior is stainless steel for ease of cleaning and durability. Access plugs and clean out doors are included to facilitate the cleaning. Operators can adjust the speed of each conveyor separately to yield the proper dwell times in the oven. The oven controls feature a Eurotherm Nanodac and slave unit to monitor the six thermocouples that monitor the temperature uniformity inside the oven.
According to Applications Engineer, Jason Bowers, “This customer came to LEWCO for a competitive quote and expertise on oven design. What they received was cost effective solution that met their process needs.”
