LEWCO Receives Multiple Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Safety Awards
LEWCO, Inc. was recently presented three BWC Safety Awards at the 64th Annual Sandusky Area Safety Council (SASC) Awards Banquet. The banquet, which took place this past month, presented health and safety awards to businesses and public organizations from Erie and Ottawa counties.
In its effort to prevent accident and injury in the workplace, LEWCO was presented the 100% Award, the Group Award, and the Achievement Award. Each award was presented to LEWCO as a result of the following:
- The 100% Award – presented to businesses and organizations that have worked the entire year without a lost-time injury or illness
- The Group Award – presented to the business with the lowest incident rate in each SASC group
- The Achievement Award – presented to each SASC member that decreased its incident rate by at least 25% from the previous year
