Aluminum Artificial Aging Industrial Ovens

The client required a 2,000 lbs. capacity of steel fixtures and aluminum sheets. Additionally, the steel and aluminum needed to heat up to 400 deg F in a matter of 60 minutes. LEWCO was able to provide ovens that deliver hot, uniform, horizontal air to the product. With an air supply of 60,000 CFM to this 144” wide, by 144” deep, by 96” tall chamber, LEWCO was able to provide an astounding 52 air changes per minute. This uniform air, coupled with the horizontal delivery to aid in the air passing between the stacks of aluminum sheets, the solution LEWCO delivered far surpassed the competition’s offerings.
This manufacturer has a very high-production operation. As a result, these ovens needed a smooth, fast loading and unloading procedure. LEWCO’s ovens feature fabric roll-up doors on each end, making for a very fast, pass through process flow. Operators simply open the doors, which open in a fraction of the time of traditional swing doors, and roll the heated carts out one end. Then, the next load is carted into the chamber. This transition keeps the operation in-line and speedy, which is paramount to the client’s production pace.
