High-Performance Oven for Leading Provider of Paint and Coatings
SANDUSKY, OH – LEWCO, Inc. recently shipped a High-Performance Tote Oven to a leading global technology provider of paint and other coatings. The oven, model HSC08TV, is steam heated and rated for service up to 300°F.
The oven is specifically designed to heat (8) 250 gallon totes. Due to installation in an electrically hazardous location, the entire electrical system is rated NEMA 7 & 9, Class I, Division II service. The circulating fan was also upgraded to AMCA (Air Movement and Control Association) “C” spark resistance as an added safety feature. All electric components and wiring underwent a third party CSA hazardous location inspection and certification prior to shipment, an option available on all LEWCO process heating equipment.
Due to its overall height, the oven was designed to be disassembled for shipping. Flanged and bolted connections allowed the top section of the multi-level unit to be taken off and easily re-assembled on-site for the customer.
Applications Engineer, Jason Bowers, oversaw the project and comments; “We took a standard High-Performance Oven and slightly modified it to include a few safety upgrades, which were required for the customer’s location and products being heated. We were able to do it better and for less money than any of our competitors could.”
