All LEWCO industrial ovens, whether batch ovens or conveyor ovens, are engineered to meet either NFPA 86 Class B or Class A construction standards. Oven control panels are designed and wired to NFPA 70 and 79 electrical standards in LEWCO’s UL 508A-certified panel shop. Prior to shipment, each oven undergoes a comprehensive 25-point quality inspection to ensure safe, reliable, and optimal performance as part of LEWCO’s rigorous ISO 9001 quality standards.
For applications requiring enhanced protection where hazardous materials are present, LEWCO provides custom solutions with additional safety features, including:
- Explosion-Proof Controls: Engineered control systems designed for hazardous environments requiring enhanced electrical protection. Options are available to meet Class I & II, Division I & II area classifications.
- NFPA 86 Class A Rating: Suitable for heating products that produce flammable volatiles or combustible materials.
- AMCA “C” Spark-Resistant Fans & Single-Pass Airflow Designs: For environments where explosive dust or flammable volatiles may be present in the oven airstream.
- Audio & Visual Alarms: Alert operators to potential issues with optional telemetry to send text or email alert notifications.
- Heavy-Duty Filters: Easily accessible and washable filtration systems for applications involving combustible materials to help prevent materials from being drawn into heaters.
- Door Safety Switches: Automatically disable heat when doors are opened to help protect operators and equipment.
