LEWCO, Inc. recently delivered (2) custom tote cabinets to a well know food manufacturer. The cabinets are hot water heated and have a maximum temperature rating of 300°F. LEWCO provided integral water heaters that are remotely located from the cabinets which can be started or stopped from the main cabinet control panel.
Each heater is specifically designed to heat (4) totes/ IBC tanks or (16) 55-gallon drums and feature a 336 sq. ft. heat exchanger with a high efficiency circulating fan to evenly distribute airflow throughout the workspace. Due to sanitation requirements, the hot boxes were constructed with stainless steel and seal welded for washdown capability. As part of LEWCO’s quality system the hot boxes were shipped with a protective wrap to prevent damage.
The food production industry typically has strict specifications for process heating equipment. LEWCO’s Applications Engineer, Jason Bowers, worked very closely with the customers engineering consulting firm to develop a cost-effective solution to with the contract.
