LEWCO Employee Spotlight: Meet Nic, Industrial Oven Design Engineer

So, we thought what better way to show our customers about what life is like inside of LEWCO than to have our own employees share their stories? Read on to learn about our very first employee spotlight, Nic Cassidy.
NIC CASSIDY, INDUSTRIAL OVEN DESIGN ENGINEER
Nic joined LEWCO in November of 2014 after returning back to his hometown of Sandusky, OH from Phoenix, AZ. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo and brings 13 years of experience to the LEWCO Team.
Nic’s main responsibilities include developing and designing new and existing company products, creating product drawings, and providing technical support to applications engineers and shop personnel.
What inspired you to pursue a career in the engineering field?
I love to be creative and find a lot of interest in problem solving. Being a Design Engineer allows me to express this every day.
What kinds of hobbies and interest do you have outside of work?
Outside of work I love spending a lot of my time outdoors. While living in Phoenix, I quickly developed a large interest in hiking and fishing. And of course, I have always been a huge fan of sports – Football and Basketball in particular.
What is something you would like to learn to do?
One thing that I have always been interested in learning is scuba diving. I have always been fascinated by the activity and hope one day to be able to try it!
