High-Temperature Walk-In Oven for Industrial Manufacturer
Throughout the years LEWCO has earned the reputation for providing high quality, reliable, efficient industrial ovens. Recently, LEWCO delivered a high-temperature walk-in oven to an industrial manufacturer. The oven is heated with direct fired natural gas and has a maximum operating temperature of 1,200°F.
The enhanced duty batch oven is supplied with a rear mounted heater-box with a heat capacity of 700,000 BTU’s/ Hr. A 12,000 CFM high-efficiency circulation fan delivers uniform dual airflow throughout the 60”W x 72”D x 84”H workspace. Due to the NFPA Class A rated requirement, a 1,125 CFM exhaust fan is included. Many features are involved in meeting this standard including safety ventilation, a purge cycle, and explosion relief. LEWCO Industrial Ovens meet these standards.
To oven construction consists of a 16-gauge 304 stainless steel interior and a 3/16” plate exterior reinforced with structural channels. This is typical construction for a 1,200°F, or higher, oven. Bi-parting swing doors with a 3-point cam style latch provide a positive seal during heating. Please note LEWCO also offers a vertical lift door option. A zero-speed switch is included on both the circulation and exhaust fan for air proving circuit.
It was critical to the customer that the oven maintain a temperature uniformity of +/- 15°F throughout the workspace while operating at max temperature. A 9-pt. T.U.S. was conducted at a 1,200°F. and LEWCO was able to exceed the customer’s expectations by achieving results of +/- 10°F.
Oven controls include a Watlow F4T temperature controller and a redundant high-limit controller providing precise temperature control and over -temperature protection. This controller has a multitude of capabilities, such as ramp/ soak programming, data logging, and Ethernet communications.
